PINOKIO project in Switzerland
The PINOKIO project is carried out in Switzerland by the non profit organization seed (www.seedlearn.org) and the testing phase is currently involving 2 primary schools, one located in Lugano, and a second one in Italy, but very close to the border, with a number of children coming from the near Switzerland. The total number of classes involved will be 5, while the teachers working in the project will be 8 plus 3 educators.
The number of children involved is around 90 children. Seed is silent partner of the PINOKIO project and will be testing the methods according to the local context requests.

Activities P.IN.O.K.I.O. -

Production of online tools for teachers and children (blogs, video and poadcast) - Teachers training (16 hours in-service face to face training and other online activities) - Intercultural Workshops (6 hours in class) – sessions  dedicated to intercultural dialogue, aimed at children, child migrants and their parents - Creativity Labs (9 hours in class) - testing of space dedicated to creative development of key competences.
Work plan: the following are the implementation period of project activities::
• Teacher Training: Between March 2010 and January 2011
• Intercultural Workshops: Between September 2010 and May 2011
• Creativity Labs: Between October 2010 and June 2011

In Switzerland, the teachers training started on the 26th November 2010 with the introduction and presentation of the project and training program.

Training for teachers was held in January and February 2011, while the laboratories and workshops took  place between February and June 2011.
