Swiss partner
The Swiss non profit association seed is now officially involved in the project PINOKIO. Since December 2009, in fact, it received a funding from the State Secretary for Education and Research to take part in the project as silent partner.

Project coordinator: Chiara Bramani

Scientific Committee Member: Dr. Luca Botturi
www.seedlearn.org  http://blog.seedlearn.org

Professor LAUER:
On the occasion of the opening of the "A caccia di fiabe con I fratelli Grimm" exhibition (14th December 2009 - 22nd January 2010) at the Biblioteca Canonale di Lugano - city where seed is located - Luca and Chiara had the pleasure to meet
Bernhard Lauer, Director of the Brüder Grimm Museum. Even if time was not enough for all the questions that curiosity would have suggested, a nice chat was a good prelude for the collaboration that there will be from now on.

Interview RADIO RETE TRE

On the 14th January seed was called in during the program BAOBAB on the Ticino radio RETE TRE. Chiara, who was  interviewed live during the program, could quote the PINOKIO project as a new interesting and challenging opportunity also for Switzerland.

The results achieved will be aimed for use by stakeholders, along with educational decision- and policy-makers. The main objectives concerning the utilisation of these results are as follow: - - -
enhancing the quality and European dimension of pre- and primary school and teaching methodologies
supporting the improvement and innovation in pedagogical approaches
introduce in educational policies new methodologies in order to support children’s development of key-competences, necessary for their future personal and professional development and for active European citizenship
The utilisation of these results will involve in particular the following different educational dimensions and actors such as:
- Pre-school and school managers and teachers
- National and Regional educational public bodies/departments
- National and Regional educational research centres
- European, National and Regional teachers associations
- European, National and Regional parents associations
- European, National and Regional migrants associations etc..

In this regards different interventions will be undertaken, such as Vertical and Horizontal Mainstreaming Actions:
The mainstreaming process will be realised at a ‘vertical level’ towards local, regional, national and European institutions and organisations, with the aim of promoting system actions, and (let) - ENLEVER include the best practices tested within current educational policies.
At a ‘horizontal level ‘mainstreaming foresees the involvement of the schools, teachers, children, migrant-children and all the parents, with the aim of involving other schools, other teachers, children and parents in the process.
