1)Fondazione Nazionale Carlo Collodi
Fondazione Nazionale Carlo Collodi
Non-profit organisation (by Decree of the President of the Republic no. 1313/1962).
Since 1990 included in the official list of Cultural Institutes of national interest by the Ministry for  Cultural Heritage and Activities. Its statutory aims are: to study and  popularize the life and works of Carlo Collodi, the author of 'The Adventures of Pinocchio'; to set up and develop a library specialized in Carlo Collodi's life and work; to valorise Collodi’s works through cultural events; to encourage writers to produce works for children; to set up a study centre on children’s literature in Collodi; to take care of, manage and improve the Pinocchio Park in Collodi, which is subject to the protection and control of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage. Since the 1960's it works, alone or in cooperation with universities, research or cultural centres, schools, on the themes of literature, reading, art and education, in Italy and abroad.
Creator and developer of the project "Pinocchio's friends", for cultural integration through the most meaningful characters- the "heroes" - of international children's literature.

2)University of Madeira
The University of Madeira has an important role in providing higher and long life learning education in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (Portugal), being the only institution of higher education in the archipelagus. By its privileged relation with the Regional Secretary of Education, it has helped to form teachers from pre-school to secondary levels and to provide them continued formation. It has departments of science of education, psychology, languages and literature and multimedia production. Its main activities are teaching and research and they develop projects with the Secretary of Education for the development of education in the region and in Portugal. UMa has invested  also in courses and information through internet, creating its own system (SIDOC). It has developed e-learning programs directed to the Portuguese speaking countries,especially in the area of history, culture and language (Arquipelagus),  with courses being taught in Cape Verde and Azores.

3)Aristotele University of Thessaloniki (School of Early Childhood Education)
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece. The University Campus covers some 23 hectares close to the centre of Thessaloniki. It comprises 9 Faculties organized into 39 Schools, as well as 3 independent Schools (a total of 42 Schools).
Some educational and administrative facilities are located off campus for practical and operational reasons.
More than 95,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students study at the Aristotle University, 86,000 in undergraduate programmes and 9,000 in postgraduate programmes.
    *The Teaching and Research Staff numbers 2,330 people (694 professors, 625 associate professors, 500 assistant professors, and 511 lecturers);
    *The Scientific Teaching Staff numbers 103; and
    *The Special Laboratory Teaching Staff  numbers 306 people.
This is further supported by:
    * the 412 members of the Special Technical Laboratory Staff for teaching services; and

4) University Cà Foscari  - Centro Interateneo per la Ricerca Didattica e la Formazione Avanzata
Cà Foscari University conducts teaching and research in various disciplines, including initial teacher education. Its Centre Of Research Excellence supports scientific collaboration in teaching methodologies and vocational teacher training. National/International activities focus on training methodologies, professional profiles, tutorship, distance learning, planning methodologies, communities of practice, etc.
One of the most important areas of the centre is dedicated to ICT in support of training and learning. These activities are maintained by Univirtual, the e-learning and technology Laboratory of the Centre. Univirtual provides the development and experimentation with new ways of building knowledge through ICT such as virtual learning environment, digital library, portal, blog etc.

5) International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (Brussels)

International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (Brussels). The International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation has launched several programmes since its creation in 1991: one of them, the MUS-E® programme, is related to artistic intervention in primary schools in Europe. 12 associations linked with the I.Y.M.F. organise the intervention of artists of all disciplines in classes of primary schools. These interventions are planned to last a minimum of 3 years. The I.Y.M.F. has accumulated a vast amount of good practices, of intercultural dialogue and continues to promote international artists’ training to exchange experiences. About 50,000 children are involved in MUS-E® every year and currently employs 900 artists in Europe, Brazil and Israel.
The IYMF develops an artistic laboratory of interventions, performances and workshops in Europe (SHARING ALL VOICES 2008– 2010) transporting multi-disciplinary artistic expressions to audiences of all types (in institutions like conservatoires, theatres, schools, or audiences such as shoppers at markets, refugees etc)

6)Mosaic Art And Sound
 

The Mosaic Art And Sound is a private company based in London, UK, and founded in 2003.
It develops projects in two directions: education/culture with social aspects and architecture.
In the social field, The Mosaic has developed projects to enhance human relationships, addressed to adults and children, disadvantaged adults and ethnic minorities. In the area of education and culture, it has been mainly active in research and applications of music as an art and a science, through research projects, workshops, seminars, In-service training courses and live events of performing arts.
The Mosaic coordinated a Grundtvig 1 project on how to apply sound to enhance listening skills and intuitive intelligence. This provided a course for teachers and trainers both in the formal and non-formal educational sectors, delivered in several European countries and in continuous demand.
The Mosaic has been partner of a Lingua project addressed to children, parents and teachers to promote multicultural activities and foreign languages awareness, especially LUWTL (Less Widely Used and Taught Languages) through the use of lullabies, (www.lullabies-of-europe.org); the project’s website has been visited by more than a 1,56 million visitors to date.
It is the coordinator of a Comenius multilateral project “The European Children’s Travelling Language Library – EuroLib”, targeted at motivating children to understand the value of language learning, the culture and beauty of books, and to build a love of reading as the best form of autonomous lifelong learning. The project promotes the reinforcement of emerging literacy.
The Mosaic is active in the framework of various Grundtvig and Leonardo partnerships addressing various social issues concerning migrants, social inclusion and multiculturalism. The Mosaic also liaises with UK Councils to disseminate the projects’ deliverables and to promote initiatives for adults and children. 

7) Seed

Seed, a start-up non-profit company located in Lugano,  was born from the belief that an adequate use of ICT and e-learning technologies can make a difference in education and training initiatives in cooperation and development projects: enhancing access, allowing the creation of stable networks, and improving daily working activities. Seed offers expertise, services and technical solutions supporting all the phases of educational cooperation and development projects. seed can work on localized mandates (e.g., identification of instructional needs, a context analysis, or evaluation), or in wide-range partnerships.
Seed has provided expertise and services to partner organizations in several projects, involving different kinds of media: Web sites and Web applications, 3D worlds such as Second Life, printed media and audio. Seed‘s staff took part in different EU projects on research, training or dissemination tasks. Seed is active in different projects in Switzerland and abroad based on digital storytelling as a way to improve relational, communication and technological skills of children.

8)Officina Creativa Interculturale

Officina Creativa

“Officina Creativa Interculturale” is based in  Palermo (Italy) and it is an  Association that develops a sperimental method of  intercultural education and provides training and information on intercultural issues.
 
The activities of the Association focuses on:
- intercultural education workshops for children and adults;
- projects and workshops to promote social inclusion and against school drop out, aimed at   minors children of migrants;
- training and refresher courses for teachers and other interested people;
- implementation of bilingual materials and teaching tools for teachers;
- intercultural counselling on teaching to foreign students;
- projects aimed at Chinese students and families;
- workshops and iniziatives for mediation between families and schools;
- Italian language courses for foreigners and migrants, children and adults.
