FOCUS ON THE ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) was found-ed in 1926. The University campus covers approximately 23 acres and is situated close to the centre of Thessaloniki.
It is comprised of nine faculties organized into 39 depart-ments, as well as 3 independent departments (a total of 43 departments) that cover a wide range of scientific fields.
Some educational and administrative facilities are located off campus for practical and functional  reasons.

FOCUS ON LEARNING AND TRAINING IN MADEIRA TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERCULTURAL SKILL.
The agenda of the multidisciplinary project, PINOKIO, addresses current concerns with intercultural education and social inclusion in multicultural settings. Actually, mobility has changed patterns of interaction among people, not only in the European context but also on a global level, necessarily refl ected in the pedagogic context.

The Interuniversity Centre for Education Research and Advance Training began when the 4 Universities of Veneto (University of Ca’Foscari in Venice, IUAV University in Venice, University of Padua; University of Verona); and, Interuniveristy Specialization School for Secondary School.

The project “P.IN.O.K.I.O.- Pupils for INnOvation as a Key to Intercultural and social inclusion” aims at promoting intercultural
dialogue against social exclusion, using fairy tale characters as a ‘way’ of communication for pre-school and school children, migrant children and their parents.

“Offi cina Creativa Interculturale” is an association born in Palermo (Italy) in 2008 with the aim of providing training and information on intercultural issues, especially in the fi eld of education.
